New Mushihimesama (Arrange) and Gunbird 2 scores

Nothing impressive, but they're both higher than my old scores, so I guess that's something to be proud of! （＾ー＾）ノ゛


Mushihimesama - Arrange Mode - 125,773,132

For me, this was a really decent run. I almost beat the Stage 5 boss, and I broke my old score that I posted a few days ago. It's still not a Maniac clear or 100,000,000 in Maniac, but I feel like I'm still getting somewhere. I do wonder, however, how on earth I'm going to be able to deal with the TLB after the Stage 5 boss. It's going to be reaaaaaally hard.


Gunbird 2 - (DC) - Morrigan - 393,000

I love this game. I really, really do. I'd have a whole lot more fun with it if the Dreamcast controller wasn't even more cumbersome than the PS2 controller. I need to invest in some sticks. 〜（ー。ー）ヾ


I'm planning on picking up an HRAP EX for Mushihimesama Futari, Triggerheart Exelica, Raiden Fighters Aces, etc. when I get the chance. I wonder if there's an adapter of sorts that will allow me to use it on my PS2. That would be wonderful.

Short update:

I now own the top three places on the scoreboard on the Zero Gunner cab at college.

Given, all of the other top scores were bad, and so are mine.

Mine are just less bad. :P



Oh, and Windows 7 arrived, using that now. It's quite nice, but I'll probably talk more about that later.

Progress is laced with failure.

So I've been working on getting that number up in Mushihimesama. Another goal I forgot to mention is that I'd really like to reach 100,000,000 points (or higher, of course （゜ー゜）☆）before Mushihimesama Futari comes and I start collecting achievements in that. I've managed to do a lot better in stages 1 and 2 (as well as killing the first boss in nothing flat thanks to a trick a friend showed me), but stage 3 is where you can really make that number go up. I can usually do alright for a few moments, but then my counter crashes, making the run pretty much useless. I was told to watch this video--


...over and over again until I get it right. Unfortunately, I end up losing everything at around 1:14. Something just isn't clicking with me there. Sooner or later I'll catch on. I hope. I mean, I can understand what he's doing, but I can't emulate it. It's irritating, honestly. Either way, I keep trying. What else can I do?

In other news, Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star is awesome and I should have started watching it a long time ago. I must say it does clash a bit with the other shows I'm currently watching, like Kobato and Kimi ni Todoke, but I think I'll call that 'balance'. (￣ー￣)

...huh. I expected to make this entry longer. Oh well. More later, I suppose!


EDIT: Oh, it's finally October 22 now! That means the Windows 7 upgrade I pre-ordered in...what, May? will ship out~ I'm really excited about it!

It's about time I started with this.

Introduction

I only made this a few months ago and never even posted an entry, after all.


I usually go by Momijitsuki at most places, but I also use the names 'Momiji' and 'Matsuri' in others. Kind of irrelevant, but whatever. So um... hello!


Anyway, I enjoy arcade games (mostly STGs/'shmups') and anime, so that's pretty much what I'll be posting about here. I made this a while back with the intention of keeping track of my progress and such, but never got around to it. I'll admit now that I'm a fledgling fan to shmups, only starting a couple years ago, but I think it's a niche I'm very comfortable in. Please bear with me and my mediocre-to-bad scores. 〜（ー。ー）ヽ


Introductions aside, I guess I'll begin with my current goals. I'm usually not too good with keeping them since I have a tendency to jump from game to game on a whim, but these are the ones that I've been sticking to.


1. Mushihimesama Maniac mode 1CC before the end of November (because I'll be completely occupied with Mushihimesama Futari then!)
2. Battle Bakraid 1CC
3. Complete Touhou 12: Undefined Fantastic Object Extra Stage
4. Complete Touhou 5: Mystic Square Extra Stage


That's good enough for now, I suppose. I'll be throwing in random scores of random games that I play on a whim every so often, of course. I plan on playing a bit of Mushi tonight, so I may have an extra entry today if I happen to do something well.
